Shipping of Orders Will Be Delayed Until Tuesday, October 2nd

The Frivolous Engineering Company Inc. will be attending Maker Faire NYC this weekend so we won’t be shipping any orders until we get back.

All orders placed between Tuesday, September 25th through Monday, October 1st will not be shipped out until Tuesday, October 2nd. You are welcome to place an order during this time. All orders will be shipped out in the order they were received. Any orders we receive today (Monday, September 24th) will be shipped out without delay, and the cut-off time is midnight, tonight.

We hope that everyone attending Maker Faire will stop by and say hello. Our table will be located inside the Maker Shed.

Shipping Has Resumed

We received our shipment of motors late this afternoon and we are getting kits packaged and ready for shipment first thing tomorrow (Friday August 3rd).

We will be shipping out the kits in the order they were received. We’ll be working a late shift tonight and if things go well we may be mostly caught up tomorrow. (Edit:  All caught up and shipping the same day for any orders placed before noon EST Monday – Friday)

My Shipping Manager Needs Help

Not sure* what’s going on but today there have been a BUNCH of orders.  I’m real happy about this but my shipping manager Blase is not liking it one bit.

Good thing we’ve stocked up on materials, parts and most important for Blase, 2000 custom shipping cartons.  Nothing frivolous when I order stuff, and we pass the savings on to YOU!

Why does everyone want one?

Shipping is sexy!

* Edit: I think it may be due to +Jeri Ryan, she mentioned me and added me to her G+ circles.

Thanks Jeri!  Blase will not like this, but please let us know where she should send your machine!

Shipping Update

Bad news from the postal front:  We cannot guarantee arrival of overseas shipments before December 25th.

We’ll ship out the orders as soon as we can, and Canada post will get them to your country in less than 15 days, but customs and local post may delay things.  Shipments may arrive in time but don’t place any wagers on it.

US shipments are still no problem but you should place your order before December 10th.

Canadian orders for regular shipping, December 15th is the cut-off.

I’ll be adding a much costlier ($30 shipping fee) but faster shipment option for US orders in the next couple of days that SHOULD allow orders to be placed as late as Dec 15th and arrive before December 25th.

Now Shipping Overseas

We are now accepting international orders.

Chistmas Post

The problem with overseas shipments is there doesn’t seem to be any affordable shipping that has tracking.  Tracking for most destinations will cost over $60.

The only affordable international shipping we can offer at this time is Small Packet Air but it has NO tracking.  It DOES come with insurance coverage up to $100 and many businesses are using Small Packet Air.

Shipping time to most overseas destinations will be less than 15 days (10 Business days) so any orders shipped before December 8 should arrive in time for Christmas )Edit:  December 6th).  We’ve shipped out about a dozen machines using this service and they have arrived on time.

All US and Canadian orders are being shipped using a better service that DOES have tracking numbers and confirmation of delivery.

I hope to be adding some RUSH options for ordering as well.

PLEASE NOTE:  At this time we are keeping up with orders, but sales have been increasing each day.  Now that we are accepting overseas orders THIS MAY CHANGE.  So if you are considering ordering a machine for Christmas please do not delay.

We should be able to get machines out in time for Christmas for all INTERNATIONAL orders taken before December 8th (too late now).

United States and Canadian orders should make it in time if placed by Dec. 12th.
