Shipping of Orders Will Be Delayed Until Tuesday, October 2nd

The Frivolous Engineering Company Inc. will be attending Maker Faire NYC this weekend so we won’t be shipping any orders until we get back.

All orders will be shipped out in the order they were received. Any orders we receive today (Monday, September 24th) will be shipped out without delay, and the cut-off time is midnight, tonight.

We hope that everyone attending Maker Faire will stop by and say hello. Our table will be located inside the Maker Shed.

Frivolous is Going To Maker Faire New York

Maker Faire New York

The Frivolous Engineering Company Inc. is proud to announce that we will be an exhibitor at World Maker Faire in New York City, this September 29th & 30th.

We want to thank the kind folks at Maker Faire for not only accepting our last-minute application but getting us in The Maker Shed!

The Ultimate Useless Machine Kits will be sold at the Faire, and we may be demonstrating how we laser-cut the cases (& other parts) as well as showing how easy it is to solder the electronics.

So if you are in or near New York city we hope that you will attend the Faire and stop in at the Shed to say hello.

Useless Science Fair Entry

Ohhh, I get it now!

14 year-old Javier Rodriguez entered a Solarbotics Useless Machine at the Rio Learning Academy’s Science and Technology Exhibition at the Rio Vista Middle School in Oxnard.

No word on whether he won anything, but the picture of him explaining the machine to an observing teacher (Heather Parks) is priceless.

If it’s any consolation, Javier, you’re sure to get an A in comedy!
